We are starting Character Education Wednesdays during first period. This lesson will include a quote, followed by a brief video. After the students view the video they will engage in two discussion questions that will reiterate what the video was trying to show.
August: Respect - Derek Jeter
Character Quote:
“Respect your opponent, just make them respect you more.”
Discussion Questions:
“Respect your opponent, just make them respect you more.”
Discussion Questions:
- What do you think this quote means? Why should you respect who you are playing against? (Common goal) What can you do to make your opponent respect you?
- During Derek Jeter’s last season of baseball, when he played at another team’s stadium the crowd would chant his name. Why do you think they did that? What does the tipping of a hat represent?
